Hello. My name is Monica, and I am a licensed therapist in North Carolina (NC). I am a native of New York City, but I have lived in NC for many years. I was once a military spouse, which has helped me grasp an understanding of military life and transitions that only living that life can provide. I have been told that I am easy to talk to and people find comfort in sharing their story with me. My method of counseling is supportive, affirming and client-centered. I am passionate about helping others achieve their goals. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I understand that it can be challenging to take the first step into therapy and disclose personal beliefs, feelings, and experiences. In our first session, we will begin the rapport building process to increase your comfort level. We will explore who you are, your interests, current coping strategies and goals. Further, you will have the opportunity to ask me questions related to our therapeutic relationship. We will discuss the next steps and scheduling.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My areas incude anxiety, stress management, depression, life transitions, grief, self-esteem, and women's issues. My approach is a perfect method to help you feel empowered in knowing that you have the information, tools and strategies to move forward.
