My passion has always been to work with individuals to increase their overall happiness, build upon their strengths, and encourage them to never give up on their goals. I have worked in the mental health field over the last 7 years. I have worked in community outpatient clinics, and group homes, and have done in-home therapy. I have more of a relaxed and goal-oriented approach to therapy. I'll show up for you how you need to be supported. I will always be honest and challenge you to reach your goals. I am friendly and hold no judgments toward my clients. I am open to feedback and we can have open communication about what works vs what does not work for you.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Take a deep breath. You made it through the hard part! During our first session, the goal will be to gather information about why you're seeking therapy and set goals for what you want to achieve. We will work together to create your treatment plan while also starting to build our therapeutic relationship. Intake paperwork is sent via email prior to your appointment. This gives you an opportunity to learn a bit about you. Intakes will not occur unless these documents have been submitted. Documents include intake questionnaire , anxiety and depression assessment. I appreciate clients who are eager to grow and committed to their improvement but needs support in developing the skills to do so. My clients value consistency in their therapy routine and are able to commit to a weekly or bi-weekly schedule. I have a strict cancellation policy so please read For the intake session, one rescheduled appointment is allowed; however, missing both will lead to non-acceptance as a client. Follow-up appointments take place via Growtherapy Teleahealth Portal, with sessions canceled after 7 minutes of waiting. Rescheduling within the same week is encouraged, and cancellations should be made outside the last 24 hours before the appointment to avoid a late cancellation fee. Two missed or canceled sessions within three weeks may lead to discharge. I value your time and ask for consideration of mine as well. If you ever decide to end our therapeutic journey, open communication is key, and I will do my best to support you in the process. At this time, I do not provide any legal documentation including but not limited to those requested by the court, schools or the department for children and families.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Starting the process of individual counseling can be both exciting and overwhelming. I can provide a safe and trusting environment for you to work on your mental health at your own pace. Seeking therapy is courageous of you, follow through!
