Hi, I am a (LMHC) Licensed Mental Health Therapist/(NLP) Neura-Linguistic coach in Florida. I got my masters from Trinity International University and have been working in the field for 12 years. I help individuals seeking therapy find alternative ways of coping with Trauma, depression or anxiety. My counseling style is nojudgmental, and collaborative. I believe once issues are identified, the journey to whole new ways of coping begins.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session I will gather information that helps you know what to expect from therapy, and pinpoint issues you wish to work on. An initial customized plan will be created from this information and used to guide future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am empathetic, but have found healthy ways to incorporate boundaries in my interactions. I am very good at listening. I am patient and intuitive at identifying issues fairly easily. My therapuetic style is collaborative and nonjudgmental, which when combined with the qualities above; and therapuetic interventions will make it easier for clients to open up and work with me to get the results they desire in therapy.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR helps with processing and releasing emotions from painful experiences. Clients may find they aren't coping well with some memories, which may be creating challenges for partners and family. Some clients may report getting triggered repeatedly. Others share stories of loved ones finding flashback and intense responses intimidating, causing damages to relatonship that sometimes are irreparable. On the personall level, persons often feel unable to cope with traumas. I like using EMDR because it makes it easier to help client access hidden emotions, find new coping strategies which serves to make my work likely more successful. it is also satisfying to see client begin to move past negative experienes, and begin to heal .

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I enjoy working with clients using CBT. The approach gives access to thoughts and behaviour that may be keeping clients stuck in a pattern or in fixed responses that are not as beneficial. With CBT I can work to help change anxious mindset and negative behaviors. CBT makes it so I am able to work with clients to begin looking at things differently, andbegin work on changing old ways of thinking and coping that may not be working. I have had major success with CBT in therapy. I think I could also have major success working with you, using CBT to reach the new goals you have set for yourself.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I think it is important that clients have a sense of their own power. in session, having a sense of power in interactions, reflected as being empowered to make contribution in therapeutic interaction is benefical for clients healing. I thnk Person Centeredtherapy puts some of the powe in therapy back into the clients hand. This approach is supportive and nonjudgmental; which fits my couseling style, which is anothe rreason why I like using it.

Narrative

Narrative therapy is a pretty cool therapy tool. I love using it in session because our personal experiences often lbecome our life-story. Narrative therapy gives us ways to examine the meaning we give to our life stories.. It is the most rewarding feeling, working in session and watching as persons suddenly have an aha moment and connect their story to patterns they want to get rid of. At that moment possiblilties for change increase, you know it and the clients know it and I would love to have that experience with you as well.
