Hi, I am a (LMHC) Licensed Mental Health Therapist/(NLP) Neura-Linguistic coach in Florida. I got my masters from Trinity International University and have been working in the field for 12 years. I help individuals seeking therapy find alternative ways of coping with Trauma, depression or anxiety. My counseling style is nojudgmental, and collaborative. I believe once issues are identified, the journey to whole new ways of coping begins.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session I will gather information that helps you know what to expect from therapy, and pinpoint issues you wish to work on. An initial customized plan will be created from this information and used to guide future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am empath. I am very good at listening. I am patient and good at identifying issues fairly easily. My therapuetic style is collaborative and nonjudgmental, which when combined with the qualities above; and therapuetic interventions will make it easier for clients to open up and work with me to get the results they desire in therapy.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR helps with processing and releasing emotions from painful experiences. Sometimes working with clients, they find experiences are too disturbing. This leads to being unable to deal efficiently with others or to getting triggered which leads to flashback and other intense responses. I like using EMDR because it makes it so emotions can be accessed and healed to a working point with the therapists help, and you the client can begin to move past the negative experienes, and begin to heal .

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I enjoy working with clients using CBT. The approach gives access to thoughts and behaviour that may be keeping you stuck in a pattern or in fixed responses that are not as beneficial. With CBT I can work with you to help change anxious mindset and negative behaviors. With this intervention, I am able to work with you to begin to look at things differently, and change old ways of thinking and coping. I have had major success using CBT in therapy. I think I could also have major success working with you to reach the new goals you have set for yourself to move forward.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I think it is important that clients have a sense of power. Having power in their life, their decision in session is benefical for clients and this approach to therapy puts some of the powe in therapy back into the clients hand. This approach is supportive and nonjudgmental; which fits my couseling style, which is anothe rreason why I like using it. It comes naturally to me and that causes me to find answers and solutions to challenges much easier, which gurantees some level of success for the individuals I work with.

Narrative

Narrative therapy is a pretty cool therapy tool. I love using it in session because our personal experiences often lbecome our life-story and Narrative therapy gives us ways to examine the meaning our stories have to our lives. It is the most rewarding feeling, working in session and watching as persons suddenly have an aha moment and connect their story to their outome. At that moment possiblilties for change increase, you know it and the clients know it and I would love to have that experience with you as well.
