Hello! I'm a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) based in Tennessee. I received my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. I completed a 1 year residency at a VA Medical Center and have been practicing for 3 years. I collaborate closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, with a focus on promoting holistic wellness and empowering individuals to achieve their mental health goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, l will conduct an initial assessment to gather information about your child’s mental health history, current symptoms, and any relevant life circumstances. This may involve asking questions about their emotional well-being, past treatments, family dynamics, and personal strengths. Families can also expect to discuss their expectations for treatment and ask any questions they may have about the therapeutic process. Together, we will collaboratively establish goals and develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with the needs of the client. Overall, the first session is an important step towards building a trusting therapeutic relationship and laying the foundation for effective treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a mental health nurse practitioner, I believe my greatest strengths lie in my ability to establish genuine connections with clients, my commitment to providing compassionate and empathetic care, and my dedication to staying current with evidence-based practices. I prioritize creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and valued. Additionally, my comprehensive training and experience allow me to conduct thorough assessments, formulate accurate diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans that address the holistic needs of each client. I also believe in empowering families/clients to take an active role in their mental health journey. I am passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of the pediatric population who are struggling with mental health challenges and am committed to ongoing growth and learning in my practice.
