New to Grow
Greetings, I’m Carlisle Greaves, LCSW-C, and I have been a therapist for over 18 years. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and work with children, adults, and couples facing a wide range of challenges. My experience includes supporting individuals with significant behavioral issues, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, marital and family concerns, anger management, personality disorders, schizophrenia and thought disorders, depression, and anxiety. At the heart of my work is the belief that every person has the ability to grow, heal, and create meaningful change. My role is to provide the guidance, tools, and safe space to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Are you feeling confused? Down? Foggy? Have you tried everything on your own, and don't know what to do anymore? We all have struggles that we can't manage on our own. I can help you to manage and comfort your pain. You are not alone. If you find that you are having challenges with low moods, negative thinking, and anxiety, or have a child with behavioral problems and emotional disturbance, I can help you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What sets my therapeutic approach apart is my ability to combine deep clinical expertise with a practical, results-oriented focus. I don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all” solutions. Instead, I take the time to truly understand each client’s story, strengths, and challenges, then design an approach that feels personal, effective, and sustainable. I integrate evidence-based methods with creative problem-solving, helping clients not only manage symptoms but also build long-term skills for resilience, growth, and self-empowerment. Clients often share that they feel both seen and supported—while also being challenged to grow beyond what they thought was possible. The outcomes that stand out most are the transformational shifts: when clients move from surviving to thriving, from confusion to clarity, and from feeling stuck to moving confidently toward their goals. I take pride in walking alongside them in that process and helping them realize that change is not only possible, but achievable with the right guidance and support.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with clients who are ready to invest in their growth—whether that means working through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or challenges with relationships, motivation, or self-esteem. My ideal clients are not perfect or problem-free; rather, they are people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain but who have the courage to reach out for support and the willingness to try new strategies. Many of the clients I serve are navigating major life transitions—such as adolescence, young adulthood, parenthood, or career shifts—or they may be coping with the lasting effects of difficult past experiences. Others are seeking to better understand themselves, build stronger relationships, or create a life that feels more authentic and balanced. What makes these clients a great fit is their desire for meaningful change. Even if they feel uncertain, anxious, or discouraged, they hold onto some hope that life can be better—and they are open to exploring how therapy can help them get there. My role is to meet them where they are, walk alongside them in the process, and provide the tools and insights they need to move forward.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use primarily Cognitive/Behavioral psychology, and some aspects of Psycho-dynamic theory as well. I have some continuing education in Neuropsychology, and I use concepts from this field to work with brain development and its role in shaping behavior. Additionally, I am a professional musician, and I utilize music with clients who have difficulties expressing themselves in a traditional therapeutic setting.
