About me

I earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama and have over eight years of experience in empowering individuals to overcome some of life's most difficult challenges. I believe that every person deserves the chance to not only heal but make lasting changes to live a life that aligns with their values and brings them joy.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with an introduction to get to know one another and work to build that necessary therapeutic relationship. We will then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. My approach to therapy is to waste no time. I know that you are here for a reason and we share a goal of treating that as soon as possible.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Overall, my strengths as a therapist lie in my ability to create a supportive and collaborative therapeutic environment, tailor interventions to meet individual needs, and continuously strive for personal and professional growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with clients that are up for the challenge of stepping out of their comfort zone to work toward creating lasting life changes.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The Unified Protocol is a flexible and comprehensive approach to therapy that integrates techniques from various evidence-based treatments. Its primary goal is to help you better understand and manage your emotional experiences, regardless of whether they manifest as depression, anxiety, or other mood-related challenges. Throughout our sessions, the Unified Protocol allows for a tailored approach that addresses your unique needs and preferences. We work collaboratively to develop personalized strategies that promote lasting emotional well-being and resilience.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy is a cognitive-behavioral approach primarily used to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). ERP is highly effective but can be challenging for clients. Therefore, a supportive and structured approach is essential for successful implementation.

She's really great. She cares a lot about evidence based practices. She listens and somehow equally supportive but also pushes you if she feels you are doing your best to help yourself. She has had some impressive insights about me even when I was not giving her the best information. We came to realize my biggest problem right now might by this complex OCD that she felt she wasn't the best person to help with and I really respect her for being able to say that. Hopefully I will utilize her again
