I am Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with nearly 15 years of experience working with youth, adolescents, adults, and families to improve their mental health. I specialize in addressing issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship issues, parenting issues, and more. I earned my Master's degree Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Thomas University. I also completed a certification in loss and healing and a certification in trauma as well as two additional years of post-graduate study, passed the advanced national clinical board, and gained my professional license in the state of Florida afterward. I have chosen to continue my education by taking hundreds of hours of additional courses in the neurobiology of trauma, grief and loss, abuse recovery, child development, parenting, and communication. We all encounter obstacles in our lives. I am confident that I will be able to assist you on this journey providing you with enlightenment and new techniques that will enable you to be able to cope with whatever challenges or obstacles you may be facing in life. If you are wanting to embark on this new journey, schedule an appointment with me today!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize in addressing issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship issues, parenting issues, and more.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Through identifying what the core issues are that you are struggling with, we will work on changing negative thought patterns to help you find a solution to better your circumstances and the way you are feeling about situations causing you to feel stuck in resistance.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 12 years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Grief Therapy

Through identifying loss you have experienced, we will work on getting you through your grief and move towards your best self.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Through identifying problems that you are struggling with, we will together work on leaving them behind you and being more present to work towards your best self.

Psychodynamic

Through processing where you have come from, we will work on taking your strengths from the past and using them to help you become who you are meant to be.
