My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT and its different modalities throughout the years of practice with children, teenagers, adult individuals, and families. It is the modality of my preference for its excellent results in a short period of time. CBT helps with mental and physical health challenges like; Depression, Anxieties, Phobias, ADHD, Trauma, and Substance Abuse, among others. During my practice the individuals work by identifying their emotions and how they connect with their thinking process and behaviors; they learn to tackle and switch unhelpful thinking, so their perspective, behavior, and overall well-being improve with practice.

Eclectic

The Eclectic approach will always fall in place. It is flexible and adapts easily to the individual needs and goals of treatment. The systematic review of progress determines the modality or modalities that best fit to each individual. Some of the modalities I incorporate in this practice are; CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness, Person-Centered, Gestalt Therapy, Trauma Informed, Motivational Interviewing, Psycho-Education, Family Systems, Trauma Informed, Integrative Nutrition.

Christian Counseling

Throughout my practice, integrating spirituality with evidence-based therapeutic approaches is often significant added value for the individual. It allows them to bring their “whole self” into the therapy sessions and develop coping strategies that make sense for their personal beliefs.
