LMFT, 4 years of experience
My approach to therapy is solution-focused, drawing on training in CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and EMDR (eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing). I strive to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable exploring your experiences and working toward what matters most to you—whether that’s finding relief from symptoms or managing life’s daily stressors. I also have extensive experience working with police, dispatchers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and other first responders, as well as members of the armed forces, and I understand the unique challenges that come with those roles.
Our first session will be a welcoming space for us to get to know one another and explore whether we are the right fit to work together. If I am not the best person to help you reach your goals, I will support you in finding someone who is. From there, we will work together to identify your goals for therapy and create a thoughtful plan to help you move toward them.
I deeply value the opportunity to work alongside my clients and consider it a privilege to be entrusted with even a small part of their journey. I admire the courage necessary to take the first step toward change, and I am committed to supporting each client by making the process as comfortable and encouraging as possible
Trauma, anxiety, and depression can affect anyone, and each person’s experience is unique. Whether you have gone through this yourself or been impacted by the experiences of others, I can provide support as you navigate these challenges.
I have had great success in assisting clients with processing their past traumas by utilizing a combination of EMDR with CBT. This process has been instrumental in helping clients to reduce or eliminate subsequent somatic effects of their past experiences, such as symptoms which contribute to diagnoses of depression and anxiety.
