LMFT, 19 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 17 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges. My work is grounded in the belief that healing begins with our stories—those we’ve inherited and those we create for ourselves. As a Certified Grief Specialist, Clinical Trauma Professional, and Qualified Supervisor in Florida, I specialize in supporting women seeking balance between family and career, as well as those navigating identity, grief, intergenerational trauma, and personal growth. My approach integrates storytelling, mindfulness, somatic practices, and family-of-origin exploration to create safe and compassionate spaces for healing. Having been raised between Brooklyn, South Florida, and Jamaica, I bring a culturally attuned perspective to my work, with a deep passion for serving the Caribbean and diaspora communities. Whether in therapy sessions, workshops, or retreats, my mission is to empower clients to find clarity, connection, and confidence as they move toward wholeness.
I know that sharing your story takes courage, and I consider it an honor to walk alongside you in this part of your journey. We’ll begin by slowing down, taking a breath, and giving you the space to share what brought you here and what you hope to gain from therapy. As you speak, I’ll be listening not just to your words, but also to the deeper story, how your family background, cultural experiences, and unspoken emotions may be shaping what you’re carrying today. My role is not to rush into fixing, but to sit with you in curiosity, compassion, and care. Sometimes, even in the first session, I will offer gentle practices like a grounding breath, a visualization, or a reflective prompt, tools to help you connect more deeply with yourself. Together, we’ll begin laying the foundation for your healing, one conversation at a time. By the end of our session, my hope is that you leave feeling truly seen and heard, with the reassurance that your story matters and you don’t have to carry it alone.
My greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to use storytelling as a pathway to healing. I help clients explore the stories they’ve inherited and the ones they tell themselves, so they can release what no longer serves them and create new narratives rooted in strength and resilience. Because I was raised between Brooklyn, South Florida, and Jamaica, I bring a culturally attuned perspective to my work. I understand the complexities of growing up in the Caribbean and diaspora, and I create spaces where clients feel deeply seen and understood. I lead with compassion and presence, holding space where clients can share without judgment. My approach is both clinical and soulful, I integrate evidence-based methods with mindfulness, visualization, rituals, and somatic practices to support the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. Above all, I believe in authenticity. I show up fully as myself so my clients can feel safe to do the same, and together we work toward clarity, healing, and growth.
I work best with women and families who are ready to break cycles, heal from grief or trauma, and reconnect with their authentic selves. Many of my clients are part of the Caribbean or diaspora community and carry the weight of intergenerational expectations, silence, or cultural pressures. They come to me when they feel stuck between who they are and who they want to be, seeking balance between family and career, healing in their relationships, or clarity in their life’s path. I also support clients who are spiritually inclined and value storytelling, mindfulness, and cultural wisdom as part of their healing journey. Whether you are navigating the loss of a loved one, repairing a mother-daughter relationship, or simply longing for more peace and purpose, I create a safe and compassionate space to help you find growth, clarity, and connection.
As a therapist who is deeply embedded in Caribbean culture, I understand the nuances of what it means to be a child of immigrants parents and the taboos of mental health.
I work with couples to help them find balance, passion, forgiveness and healing.
I specialize in working with mothers and daughters looking to heal and grow.
As a bereavement specialist, I work with individuals seeking understanding and peace in their times of grief.
