New to Grow
Hello and welcome to your journey to a better you! You have taken the first step, which can be very difficult to do. My name is Hope and I would be honored to work with you in whatever is going on in your life. I have over 20 years of experience working with various disorders and needs. I love helping others and watching the growth you can make. I am a mother of a daughter, a Christian, a partner, and a friend. I love animals and have several of my own. I will provide insight to some of my experiences, as relevant, and if I feel it would be of benefit to your growth.
During our first session, I will complete an assessment to determine needs. This will also include family history, trauma background, and more. This allows me to gain greater insight into your dynamics. Assessments for anxiety and depression will be utilized throughout our time together. Rapport building is key, so this will be a focus in our first few sessions. I like to apply homework to do at home. This helps supplement our sessions and allow you to make changes in your real time.
I am very diverse in the approaches and methods. I have seen substantial growth with the majority of my clients. I have had clients that have been with me for long periods of time and feel they have benefited from talking with me. I work with you as a person, as you are the priority in all of this!
Two of my passions are LGBTQ and substance abuse. I also enjoy working with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and women's needs. I look forward to riding alongside your journey and supporting you all the way!
I have over 20 years of experience working with Cognitive Behavioral therapy. I like to provide activities/work to complete at home as well. This will aid in reinforcing skills and putting them into practice. I utilize cognitive reframing, core beliefs, and structured problem solving. This is an effective treatment method for anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and substance abuse.
I have over 20 years pf experience working with this therapy approach. Sometimes, it just helps to talk to someone to help work through life's stressors and make healthy lifestyle changes. I include elements of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, interpersonal skills, and balancing acceptance/change. This method works for anxiety, depression, PTSD, and subtance abuse.
Gender affirming therapy is crucial to someone going through the process of trans gendering. I have 10 years history of compassionate therapy and assisting clients with their transition. It is also effective in working with non-binary and gender diverse people. Being a member of the LGBTQ community can also benefit from this therapy type.
Motivational therapy entails meeting someone where they are at and changes they want to make in life. I have over 20 years of experience with this type of therapy. Substance abuse, anxiety, and depression greatly benefit from this approach. I help to motivate people to make those positive changes. Techniques involve collaboration, advocacy, evocation, and autonomy
