I decided to become a therapist after a time in my own life in which I could not find a relatable provider. Trust me, I understand that psychotherapy and taking the first step in initiating services can often feel awkward or almost even scary. But, the personal work you do in therapy can be one of the most rewarding efforts you can undertake. Grief, complex relationships, trauma, anxiety, depression, career and life dissatisfaction, life adjustments, and intimacy and sexuality amongst so many other things can all be reasons to talk to a professional such as myself. Seeking a deeper understanding of yourself and intentionally pursuing a more fulfilling life are essential journeys to take to reach your fullest potential in every area of your life.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Our first session together will be laid back, easy going and an opportunity for us to get to know each other, orient you to my practice, and for me to complete what is known as an intake assessment to find out more about you, your history, and most importantly how to help!
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My therapeutic style is genuine, respectful, compassionate, humorous, and most importantly, nonjudgmental. I am trained to help people achieve the life they envision. Usually, this involves changing how you think about things, how you feel about yourself, and bringing more positive and supportive energy into your life. I encourage you to heed the words of Henry David Thoreau, "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined."
