New clients continue care with this provider

Feelings are a natural, unavoidable, and sometimes overwhelming part of life. Our day to day lives are filled with ups and downs and as humans, we need to connect and talk about them. So, my role, as a Licensed Professional Counselor, is to foster a safe and warm environment and to encourage an open dialogue. During therapy, any thought, feeling and behavior can be discussed, those ups and downs will feel less overwhelming and become much more manageable. If you're an adult struggling with anxiety, depression, feeling unmotivated, burnout, experiencing challenges with friends or family, have codependency/boundary issues, experiencing grief and loss, and/or relationship concerns - I can help you navigate these feelings and offer a path forward. Starting therapy can be intimidating, but I will do my best to make you feel comfortable. I'm committed to our therapy and success. Let's get started! *Due to my limited availability, I do follow the no-show/late cancellation policy found in your Clinical Services & Practice Policies Agreement. My hours of operation are 8a-5p Monday-Thursday and 9a-12p on Friday. Thank you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, I'll run through a few "housekeeping items" and then I'll give you the floor. I'll ensure you feel comfortable to tell me what brought you into therapy. Any time you get stuck, I'll be there to ask guiding questions, and sessions always and only go at the pace you set.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Each therapy session is individualized and client-centered, tailored to what you will benefit from most in that moment. It is your time. I will work hard to ensure that you always feel heard, accepted, respected and comfortable.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Women, weight loss surgery patients, college students and/or young adults

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been integrating CBT into my therapy practice for many years. I have witnessed it's power in helping individuals overcome a variety of challenges, from anxiety and depression to stress and even behavioral issues. I have seen firsthand how CBT empowers clients by teaching them practical skills to address their thoughts and emotional responses. In my therapy practice, I use CBT as a cornerstone approach for addressing most concerns. I tailor therapy to each individual, ensuring we explore the unique cognitive patterns and how those patterns affect their mental and emotional well-being. I use techniques to help clients identify cognitive distortions, challenge negative beliefs, and gradually replace unhealthy thought patterns with healthier alternatives. Through the use of CBT in my therapy practice, many clients have reported significant improvements in their mood, behaviors and overall outlook. By learning how to identify and reframe negative thought patterns, they gain greater control over their emotional and behavioral responses. The skills acquired in CBT are often long-lasting, and empower clients to manage their future stressors more independently.
