Welcome to Phoenix Rise Counseling Services. My name is Ronide Louis; I am the founder and clinician behind Phoenix Rise. Phoenix Rise is a space where you are welcomed exactly as you are, without pressure or judgment. Together, we will explore your experiences, identify patterns, and clarify goals at a pace that feels safe and empowering. By the end of your first session, you will have greater clarity and a personalized direction forward. Phoenix Rise will honor your resilience and supports your continued rise toward balance and emotional well-being.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

At Phoenix Rise, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the main tools we use, especially when working with children and teens. CBT helps clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and how small changes can make a big difference. This approach works well because it is structured, hands-on, and easy to understand. It gives young people practical skills they can use in everyday life, helping them feel more in control, confident, and supported as they grow and rise forward.

Group Therapy

At Phoenix Rise, we offer supportive group therapy for children, teens, and families focused on managing emotions, building social and coping skills, improving communication, and creating positive behavior change. Each group is designed to be safe, structured, and engaging. We use clear language, hands-on activities, group discussions, and real-life practice so skills make sense and can be used outside of sessions. Group therapy at Phoenix Rise helps participants feel less alone, build connection, and grow together. Healing is often stronger when we rise as a community.

Narrative

At Phoenix Rise, Narrative Therapy helps clients let go of old stories, labels, or experiences that no longer serve them. We focus on separating who you are from what you’ve been through, creating space to see yourself with more clarity, strength, and compassion. This approach supports children, teens, and adults in understanding how past experiences, family roles, or self-criticism may have shaped their story—and how they can rewrite it. Narrative Therapy at Phoenix Rise is about reclaiming your voice, rediscovering your strengths, and rising into a more empowered version of yourself. Your past may shape you, but it does not define your future.

Trauma-Focused CBT

At Phoenix Rise, Trauma-Focused CBT helps kids and teens heal after scary, stressful, or hard experiences. We go at a pace that feels safe and make sure each child feels supported and understood. TF-CBT supports clients in transitioning from a state of survival to one of empowered living, helping them rise above the weight of past experiences while learning skills that restore balance, safety, and emotional control. We help children learn why their feelings and reactions make sense, build skills to feel calmer and stronger, and create a new story about themselves—one that focuses on bravery, strength, and hope. At Phoenix Rise, healing happens with care as kids learn they are more than what they’ve been through.
