I am a nurse practitioner specializing in mental health and I have 9 experience in health care. I provide compassionate and comprehensive care to individuals facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. With a focus on evidence-based interventions and a patient-centered approach, I collaborate closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans aimed at improving their well-being and empowering them to lead fulfilling lives. Through medication management, therapy, and lifestyle adjustments, I strive to support clients on their journey toward mental wellness and resilience.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session with me, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where they can openly share their concerns and goals for therapy. We'll start by discussing their reasons for seeking therapy, their current symptoms or challenges, and their personal history, including any relevant medical or mental health information. I'll take the time to listen attentively, ask clarifying questions, and provide validation and empathy throughout our conversation.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, I believe my greatest strengths lie in my ability to establish genuine connections with my clients, my commitment to providing compassionate and personalized care, and my dedication to ongoing professional development and learning. Firstly, I excel in building strong therapeutic relationships based on trust, empathy, and mutual respect. I create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and valued, which fosters openness and collaboration in our work together.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I typically begin CBT by conducting a thorough assessment to understand the specific cognitive and behavioral patterns contributing to the patient's mental illness. This assessment helps me tailor the treatment approach to address their unique needs and challenges. During CBT sessions, I teach patients various cognitive restructuring techniques to challenge and reframe their negative thoughts. This may involve helping them identify cognitive distortions such as all-or-nothing thinking, overgeneralization, or catastrophizing, and guiding them to develop more balanced and adaptive ways of thinking.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In person centered therapy , I prioritize building a strong therapeutic alliance based on empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuineness. I create a safe and non-judgmental space where patients feel valued, understood, and empowered to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences related to my patient's mental illness.
