In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will start with getting to know each other. I think building a strong therapeutic alliance from the start increases the ability to heal throughout our journey together. We will dive into specific challenges, strengths, and create goals that you want to get out of therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am easily able to build rapport with others. I am a reflective listener and able to easily identify strengths. I am compassionate and have a passion for helping others.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with people that may struggle with ADHD or Anxiety. I want to help them find the tools to increase regulation and process their experiences. My clients may feel overwhelmed by the challenges that they are experiencing and need support.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

I am trained in trauma-focused CBT. I have used this with children who have experienced traumatic events. I help to facilitate a safe environment to be able to process their experiences and be able to learn to manage emotions. I have worked with my clients on better understanding the connection of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is based on the idea that “where you look affects how you feel.” This uses eye position to access and process unresolved trauma and emotions. I have used brainspotting techniques when working with clients who have experienced trauma and anxiety.

Relational

I think healing happens within relationships. I believe that growth occurs through mutual empathy, trust, and authentic connections between client and therapist. I love to truly get to know others and help them build their resilience and regain their confidence.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I love using mindfulness practices to help individuals manage stress, anxiety, and depression. We will work on paying attention to the present moment with openness and without judgment, fostering greater self-awareness and emotional regulation.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe that the client is the expert on their life and their lived experiences. I want to help create a safe, nonjudgmental, and empathic environment in which we can explore their feelings, thoughts, and experiences without fear of judgment.
