I began my professional career in 2005 working as a caseworker helping children and families maintain safe and healthy environments as well as financial stability. Since then I have completed masters degrees in counselor education and clinical counseling and was first licensed as a professional counselor in 2014. I'm currently credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We'll work together to create a plan of treatment that best meets your needs. I'll work to help you understand the interplay between your thoughts, emotions, and actions; to bring balance to the many competing priorities, needs, and desires in your life; and to find acceptance, gratitude, and peace throughout your day. We'll do this collaboratively, using your strengths and available resources, and building upon a foundation of self-respect, dignity, and staying true to your sense of self and personal values.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I take pride in my compassionate, non-judgmental and loving nature. I believe that we each have the right to live life as our most true and authentic selves. And I believe that the world is made a better place by embracing and celebrating the diversity in our backgrounds, experiences, and world views. It's these beliefs that serve as the foundation of my therapeutic practice. Whoever you are, and whatever your goals for therapy and in life, you will find a safe and welcoming space in the work we do together.

My treatment methods

Integrative

There are many different psychological and counseling theories and techniques that have been researched and developed throughout the years. An integrative model of therapy is informed by and utilizes multiple theories and techniques to best meet the specific needs of the client. I find this gives us the flexibility to tailor therapy to your communication and learning styles and to create a unique experience that best helps you meet your goals and live your most fulfilling life. Dominant counseling theories I use include Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.
