As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I am deeply committed to helping others live more meaningful, fulfilling lives. I believe every person deserves to feel happiness, purpose, and hope—and that healing and growth are possible for anyone. In our work together, I aim to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. I use a client-centered approach, recognizing that you are the expert on your life. My role is to walk alongside you as a compassionate guide—offering reflection, support, and evidence-based tools to help you move toward your goals. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I’ll help you explore what’s holding you back, build motivation for change, and develop the skills you need to feel better and thrive. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you—because therapy is about becoming the version of yourself you want to be.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we’ll begin by getting to know each other and exploring what brings you to therapy. This is your space, so you’re welcome to share whatever is most pressing for you or ask any questions you may have. If you’re experiencing thoughts of suicide, we’ll prioritize your safety and likely create a safety plan together. We may also introduce simple, practical techniques—such as those from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—to help you begin building skills right away. Together, we’ll work to identify three personalized treatment goals, and I’ll tailor interventions to best support your unique needs and circumstances.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I lead with genuine compassion—because, as the saying goes, “No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.” I believe the most effective therapy begins with a strong human connection, built on trust, humility, and empathy. My open-minded approach, deep listening skills, and nonjudgmental presence help create a safe space where clients feel seen and supported. With many years of experience working alongside individuals on their paths toward healing and growth, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing meaningful and lasting change. I bring that same dedication and care to every client I serve.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work well with individuals ranging from adolescence through late adulthood and have experience treating a wide spectrum of mental health concerns—from mild depression and anxiety to severe and persistent mental illness. My areas of expertise include trauma, addiction, codependency, grief and loss, disordered eating, sleep issues, and other maladaptive behaviors such as self-harm and suicidality. As a Christian, I am able to incorporate faith-based support into treatment for those who find strength in their spiritual beliefs. At the same time, I am open-minded, affirming, and inclusive of all spiritual traditions, cultural backgrounds, and identities, including members of the LGBTQ+ community. I prioritize culturally sensitive care and work collaboratively to ensure treatment reflects your values, beliefs, and lived experiences. With a diverse professional and personal background, I bring an empathetic, nonjudgmental, and open-hearted perspective to my work. My goal is to create a space where you feel respected, supported, and empowered to make meaningful change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients learn how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. A big part of this work involves identifying unhelpful or negative thought patterns and learning how to replace them with healthier, more realistic thoughts—leading to improved mood and emotional well-being. CBT provides practical tools to manage anxiety, depression, and other challenges by teaching new ways to think, cope, and respond. Together, we’ll practice these skills so you can feel more in control of your emotions and daily life.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support clients in healing from past traumatic experiences. This evidence-based approach helps individuals identify and process difficult emotions while developing healthy coping strategies. Together, we work on recognizing and naming feelings, building relaxation skills, and using safe place imagery to promote a sense of calm and control. These tools create a foundation for safely exploring trauma-related thoughts and memories, allowing for healing, growth, and emotional recovery over time.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build emotional resilience, improve self-awareness, and find balance. Through DBT, we focus on learning to regulate intense emotions, practice mindfulness techniques, and understand the “wise mind” approach—a balance between emotional and rational thinking. We also explore radical acceptance, which involves accepting reality as it is without judgment, allowing space for peace, healing, and growth. These interventions can help release built-up negative emotions, let go of what’s no longer serving you, and move forward with greater clarity and self-compassion.
