Congratulations on taking the first on your healing journey! I am passionate about empowering individuals. I aim to join you in successfully reaching your goals of resolving conflicts, lessening distress and emotional pain, solving problems, and enhancing your overall well-being. I work hard to create a safe, calm place where my clients feel heard. My counseling style is pretty laid back. I have been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate, with a pretty good sense of humor. I like to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you to maximize them to overcome your obstacles. I'm here to help you sort through the things that are difficult right now, and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment. I provide support and interventions to help you find resolution to events in your past, present, and future.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session we will get to know each other better to make sure I understand the specific challenges you are facing. I will hear your needs and concerns as well as give you an opportunity to get to know my style and approaches to make sure you feel comfortable moving forward working together. After our first session you should expect a plan moving forward and have small goals set.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I think my biggest strengths are my empathy, my authenticity, and my ability to ask questions to facilitate deeper insight. I also realize each person is unique with many strengths and potentials.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice with helping to adapt and change your mindset and behaviors by reassessing distorted thought patterns. It helps you develop healthier thought patterns and become aware of the thoughts that dampen your feelings and moods.
