Hello, I’m Keishona Farmer, your dedicated mental health therapist. I specialize in helping individuals manage and overcome anxiety, using compassionate, client-centered approaches. My goal is to provide you with tools to navigate overwhelming emotions, reduce stress, and improve your quality of life. Whether you're dealing with anxiety in daily life or specific triggers, I’m here to support your path to healing and personal growth.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and understanding your specific concerns. I’ll ask questions about your current challenges, your background, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. This session is a time for you to share your story, and I’ll listen carefully to understand your unique experiences, especially as they relate to anxiety. We’ll also explore your goals for therapy—whether it's reducing anxious thoughts, managing day to day, or building healthier coping mechanisms. My aim is to create a safe, welcoming environment where you feel comfortable expressing your feelings and concerns.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for clients. I understand that discussing personal struggles can be challenging and I strive to make clients feel heard and supported from the very first session. I work closely with clients to understand their goals and challenges, ensuring that therapy is a partnership where clients feel empowered in their journey toward healing and growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

By actively participating in these CBT techniques during your therapy sessions, you can enhance your understanding of your thoughts and behaviors, leading to meaningful changes in your mental health. During sessions, we will work together to establish specific, measurable goals, learn to question and challenge negative thoughts, work on reframing negative thoughts into more balanced, realistic ones, & explore various coping techniques such as mindfulness, relaxation exercises, and problem-solving strategies.
