I'm Sherry, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have twenty years of clinical experience with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship difficulties and life transitions. My clinical focus is women and connection. I am eclectic in my approach combining CBT, ACT, EMDR, mindfulness techniques and creative expression to help guide you to your most authentic self. I utilize a holistic approach to therapy that addresses the mind, body and creative spirit. Outside of my work as a therapist, I teach yoga, enjoy painting, meditating, trying new vegan recipes and spending time with those I love. "In the end, these things matter most: How well did you love? How fully did you live? How deeply did you let go?" - Buddha
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our initial session, we will begin with a comprehensive assessment to understand your current concerns, background, and therapeutic goals. I will explain my approach and collaborate with you to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. This session establishes the framework for our ongoing therapeutic work together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My therapeutic approach centers on creating authentic connection while integrating evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s needs. I bring specialized expertise in women’s relational dynamics, attachment theory, and trauma-informed care. By helping clients understand their attachment patterns, communication styles, and relational needs, I empower them to establish healthy boundaries and cultivate relationships that are both fulfilling and sustainable.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I specialize in supporting women and adolescents navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and women-specific issues. Using evidence-based approaches including EMDR, mindfulness techniques, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients process difficult experiences, develop coping strategies, and build resilience. My practice provides a safe, compassionate space for those facing challenges related to stress, relationship difficulties, identity development, major life changes, and healing from past trauma.
EMDR
EMDR is an evidence-based method to help clients process trauma and reduce anxiety. This approach helps the brain naturally heal from distressing experiences and develop healthier perspectives.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Through mindfulness and acceptance strategies, clients learn to navigate difficult thoughts and feelings while taking committed action toward what truly matters.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Cultivating a mindfulness practice enhances awareness and emotional regulation. These techniques help clients reduce reactivity and develop greater calm and clarity in their daily lives.

Sherry is the most genuine, warm, & healing presence I’ve known. She sees people deeply & guides with authentic compassion & purpose, never rushed or forced. She’s helped me and my family of 5 work through trauma in ways I didn’t think possible. She hasn’t just supported us as individuals, she has strengthened us as a family. We’re more aware, patient,&connected because of her. If everyone could work Sherry, they'd understand what a gift therapy truly is. She's exceptional, &we are so grateful for her.

She's so goal oriented. I love that she provides tools and is willing to help. Great listener and proactive thinker. She did EMDR with me once and worked right away. Years later I'm still good from that traumatic memory. Highly recommend.
