My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My primary approach to treatment is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). During my academic training, I focused extensively on cognitive behavioral therapy and have since earned several evidence-based certifications in utilizing CBT across various settings, including work with individuals, couples, and groups. Some of my certifications include, but are not limited to: • Motivational Interviewing • Cognitive Processing Therapy • Prolonged Exposure Therapy • Problem Solving Therapy (with emphasis on Suicide Prevention and Primary Care) • Integrated Behavioral Couples Therapy • Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Cognitive behavioral therapy serves as a foundational principle in all therapeutic methods I employ. The central premise of CBT is that by changing thought patterns, individuals can influence their behaviors, emotions, and overall outcomes. In my therapeutic work, I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to guide clients as they confront and gain deeper insight into the ways they perceive their trauma, themselves, and others. Through this process, I encourage clients to challenge their thoughts and make meaningful changes that align with their personal goals. Therapeutic Goals My main goal in therapy is to support my clients in becoming their authentic selves. I strive to help them live in accordance with their values and to value the way they live.
