First, let me congratulate you on taking your first steps on achieving wellness. Whether this be individual goals you have for yourself or improving important relationships, I am happy to provide a non-judgmental and empathetic approach in helping you achieve your goals. As a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, I am in a position to help you consider how you view relationships and help you develop the skills needed to achieve your personal goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, I would love to hear what is bringing you into therapy at this moment in your life. We will develop rapport and begin to understand what you are hoping to achieve throughout this process. I would also love to address any questions or concerns you have about beginning this process so that you feel supported and understand that all of your goals can be achieved.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

In my 16 plus years as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have worked in various settings with all different kinds of people. I believe that understanding a persons culture and personal value set is instrumental in helping a person develop long term success.

My treatment methods

Family Therapy

Establish clear boundaries and structure to promote open communication. Teach conflict resolution strategies and compromise for every person to feel fulfilled.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Pay attention to the thoughts that come through your mind and process your responses to these thoughts so that you can learn to respond in a way that makes you feel heard and get the response from others, or yourself, that you seek.

Attachment-based

I will observe the parent/child interactions to help understand the emotional value behind these interactions.

Couples Counseling

Establishing boundaries and structure that promote open communication so that each partner feels valued, heard, and can learn the skills to support one another in a meaningful way to both partners. Couples will learn how each person receives information and love to best promote the relational bond.
