Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Connecticut. I received my Masters Degree from Fordham University and have been practicing Social Work for 25 years. I have worked with clients who suffer from Anxiety, Depression, Poor Self-Esteem, School issues, Relationship. I feel that working together to meet a goal is helpful. I never want my clients to feel they are in it alone. We are in it together and I'm always learning from my clients as well.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will get to know each other and establish a friendly rapport . I will invite you to discuss the reasons you sought therapy, clarify your goals for therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. This will help to ensure that both you as the client and me as the therapist are on the same page about the direction of treatment. But most importantly, it's an opportunity for you to begin exploring your concerns in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.

Having worked with many different populations over the past 25 years, I've developed the ability to empathize to each clients uniqueness and the ability to tailor the therapeutic approach to suit your individual needs and circumstances.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT for the past 10 years. It is a flexible treatment that has helped many people in many different situations. We will use CBT to manage mental health conditions such as anxiety and/or depression as well as learn healthier thought patterns and more helpful ways of thinking and reacting to everyday situations.

Strength-Based

The most important part of therapy is trust. For over 20 years, I have prioritized establishing a strong therapeutic relationship characterized by trust, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. This foundation is crucial for you to feel safe and supported as we explore sensitive topics related to self-esteem.

Compassion Focused

We can all be critical and sometimes really mean toward ourselves. By using Compassion-Focused Therapy, we will aim to alleviate suffering and promote well-being by fostering self-compassion, emotional regulation, and a sense of connection with oneself and others. It provides clients with practical skills and techniques for cultivating a compassionate mindset and living a more fulfilling and deserving life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have experience utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered, and solution focused methods to assist clients in their personal journey. I hope that through our work together you will experience a shift in your outlook and make meaningful changes in your life. My approach in working with clients is always in a kind, supportive and respectful manner.
