Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Life is full of challenges, but therapy can lead to great rewards. I'm guessing you're here because you want to make a change! You might be looking for relief from a burden or getting ready to start a journey toward greater happiness and fulfillment. Let's embark on this journey together whenever you are ready.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session together we will introduce ourselves and during this time you can ask me any questions before we start. Then, we’ll dive into the intake evaluation and explore reasons that led you to seek therapy, coping skills, and your symptoms. Finally, we will end the sessions by chatting about goals for therapy, expectations, and more.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My style is warm and genuine, interactive and grounded. I aim to hold the space you need to do this vital work. I look forward to speaking with you to explore how I can serve you at this time in your life. I have worked extensively with people experiencing depression and anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, issues surrounding self-esteem, and navigating life transitions.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I aspire to meet you where you are in the therapy process to create a safe and trusting relationship between us. I have experience supporting people with a variety of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, and work-life balance concerns.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT therapy in my practice for the past six years. I have been helping clients become aware of their unhealthy thinking patterns and how they negatively impact their lives. You will learn to recognize the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that influence each other. After that, we will work on developing healthy coping skills to change your negative thinking patterns, which will help you feel less anxious, stressed, and depressed.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have used the ACT therapy approach for 3 years to help clients learn about accepting and improving their quality of life. ACT has been instrumental in helping clients acknowledge what is out of their control and commit to ways to move forward rather than feeling stuck in life. We will focus on learning to stay in the present (mindfulness) and transitioning from overwhelming emotions to improve your mental health. You will soon find yourself taking charge, accepting, and committing to aligning with your values, enabling you to move forward instead of remaining stuck in your emotions.

Positive Psychology

For many years, I have worked with clients, teaching them how to approach life issues with both positive and negative aspects. I pleasure assisting my clients in discovering the equilibrium needed to embrace all aspects of themselves. During sessions, we will delve into self-care skills, virtues, weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and strengths to develop a balanced perspective rather than reducing you to just your symptoms and challenges.
