My name is Kimberly. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. I have a Master’s in Public Health and a Master’s in Social Work. I have over five years of experience in mental health and medical social work. I received the majority of my training in an inpatient mental health and hospital setting. I am passionate about working with those suffering from depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, grief, caregiver stress, relationship issues and coping with life changes. It is important for my clients to be comfortable, agreeable and involved throughout the treatment process. Treatment plans are individualized to meet your needs because one size does not fit all. I use a person centered holistic approach that focuses on my clients as whole. I use motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session we will get to know each other through history gathering and by discussing your goals and expectations. If you feel like it is a good match then we will begin treatment planning. At the beginning of each session we will review "homework" and discuss any event that may be causing you the most concern that you would like to explore and process. We will end the session by exploring your emotions and what is working and not working.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Evidence based techniques used include Person Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

My biggest strengths including putting my clients and their needs first and being compassionate and understanding that everyone is different therefore treatment plans are individualized to meet your needs.
