Thank you for taking the time to read about me and my practice. I have diagnosed and worked with hundreds of women of all ages and have found that many are struggling daily with feelings of sadness, low self-esteem, decrease in motivation, ongoing worry, poor sleep, racing thoughts, self-doubt and much more. LZ Therapy has been created with the focus of not only providing effective therapeutic treatment for women, but also creating a true therapeutic relationship in order to achieve treatment goals. My goal is to work with fewer clients and provide a one-of-a-kind treatment built on real relationships with an achievable goal that we will work towards together, at whatever pace is best for you. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than a decade of experience I provide personalized mental health therapy utilizing a strengths-based approach. My preferred therapeutic technique is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My areas of special interest focus around women’s issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, low self- esteem, decreased motivation and relationship issues. Feel free to reach out for a free 10-minute consultation to determine if I am the right therapist for you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During your first appointment I will try to learn as much about you as I can and understand why you reached out for therapy. It is always helpful to gather as much history as well as presenting symptoms as possible. Depending on the current situation, a first appointment varies between individuals. Ultimately, your first appointment is whatever you need it to be.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use a Cognitive Behavioral approach in therapy which focuses on ways to identify and adjust unhealthy thinking processes and develop healthy thinking which improves mood and increases positive behaviors. I also believe in utilizing a strengths based perspective and person centered approach. Therapy is extremely personal, the focus is you!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

A healthy relationship is vital for effective therapeutic progress. All therapists have their own style when it comes to therapy. I truly enjoy learning about my clients, understanding their thoughts and views and gaining their trust to be able to assist them in reaching their goals. I am honest and upfront with my clients as transparency is key. I will not be a fit for everyone and I think that only increases the genuity of the client/ therapist relationships that I am so grateful to have.
