Is emotional upheaval getting in the way of your moving forward with your life? I would love the opportunity to help you to sort through the sources of the emotions, help to make them more manageable, and help you to regain some sense of direction and progress for your life. Working toward more refined beliefs and understanding about emotions, circumstances, and responses to them can be helpful. In my roughly 28 years as a psychologist I have mostly worked with people who have problems with anxiety, depression, PTSD, anger, relationship problems, and aging issues. I have worked with ages ranging from elementary school to 70s and a little older. I have found that experience allows me to realize client needs more quickly than in my early years in practice, and hope to use this experience to your benefit. Note that online scheduling is limited. Broader scheduling options will be available to regularly scheduling clients, or by calling me at 678-322-8774. I typically respond to messages Monday morning through Thursday afternoon. Please also note that I do not provide opinions about disability or fitness to return to work or other activities for clients who are not well-established at the time that the request for such opinion is made.

As a therapist, I'm dedicated to creating a secure setting where my clients can express themselves and work through obstacles, adversity, and life changes. Therapy provides an opportunity for clients to question long-held beliefs that may no longer be beneficial to their present lives and make lasting change. In my practice, I work to create a non-judgmental and affirming environment where you can explore, process, and feel.

I am retired Army officer and a licensed and board certified clinical social worker. I am considered a subject matter expert in a few areas, primarily cognitive behavior therapy. I chose to be a cognitive therapist because it resonates with me and because it works. Traditional talk therapy can be cathartic and have a relaxing effect, but you could do that with a friend at no cost. Are you stressed and overwhelmed by your health, your day-to-day life, or your relationships? As a Psychologist with more than 27 years of experience, as well as being a two-time breast cancer survivor and a caretaker for my elderly parents, I can help you to navigate health issues and life stresses more effectively. Life can be difficult for each of us at some point in time, in ways unique to our own circumstances. My goal is to help people through the tough chapters so that they move into better chapters with additional tools to handle challenges and stresses. I don't view people as being broken or needing fixing. We all need someone with whom to sort things through at times, someone who isn't part of our day-to-day mix. My goal is to help individual adults develop more effective expectations by redefining their stresses and challenges, to reduce emotional upset and distress by looking at their issues from a new angle, and to feel empowered by trying new approaches to effective problem-solving. I would be pleased to walk this journey with you, to reduce stress and find a more satisfying approach to life. Available appointments are those set aside specifically for intakes. Follow-up appointments are usually set for afternoons, Monday through Thursday. I cannot do letters, FMLA forms or provide disability opinions for clients who have not been involved in therapy for at least several months. If you have any questions about services or additional availability, you may contact me at (404) 889-6283.

Hello, I'm Dr. Ellinor Burke and I'm a psychologist licensed in the state of Georgia. I've been in practice for more than 20 years and I've struggled with some of the same issues many of you do. I have developed effective treatments for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder because I have dealt with this disorder myself. If you're looking for an effective treatment I have one. Many of us are worriers and have anxiety related to this. Anxiety can have a draining effect on your life but it is treatable. .I use cognitive and behavioral therapy combined with supportive therapy to help you get to that positive place in your life. If you're dealing with depression I'm also here to help by looking at how your thoughts feelings and behaviors influence each other and how we can work together to deal with these issues. I see patients with varying issues and from many age groups. All in all a diverse population. I was a school psychologist for more than ten years and I do educational assessments as well as therapy for adolescents. I find teenagers are some of the most challenging and rewarding to work with. My work is very emotionally rewarding which is why I've been in practice for so many years. I'm now considering expanding my practice to a hybrid practice which will include seeing clients both remotely and in my office. Therapy begins with me getting to know you and for you to feel comfortable with me. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment because therapy works when we have a positive connection which I hope we will have.

Hi! Are you searching for more meaning & purpose in your life? Unsure where to start? Are you stressed, depressed, having difficulties at work, or at home, or in your social life? You may be coming to therapy because you’re tired of pretending…of struggling…of trying so hard, but continually getting the same results! I can help you gain control over anxiety, grief, depression, and feelings of hopelessness. My approach to supportive talk-therapy is that you truly already have within you the answers you seek. My responsibility is to help you find your inner strength & wisdom, and then to support you as you learn to clearly express the truth of who you really are. Your responsibility in therapy is to be honest and courageous! I will create a space where you feel safe enough to let your walls down and from there you can find balance, peace, joy, and even freedom from self-imposed and unkind negative thinking. It may be different to think of putting your needs before others, but if you examine “selfishness” as “wise” or “foolish”, you will see how to use “wise selfishness” to develop a deeper compassionate relationship with yourself and others. (terms in parenthesis are excerpts from: The Book of Joy: Lasing Happiness in a Changing World; by His Holiness the Dali Lama, Desmund Tutu, et.al.) Taking the first step toward therapy is huge! Yet, here you are, looking for a therapist that “fits”. Don’t stop now…day by day, in every way, you deserve to get better and better! Wherever you are is where we will begin. I’m empathetic and compassionate and work with valid tools and techniques that go beyond talk therapy. Let me support you as you navigate toward change. It would be my honor.

Welcome, I am Feven! Do you feel pulled in a million directions, unable to fit it all in? Are you struggling to keep up with your relationships, work and health? Is it hard to be kind to yourself? I help individuals manage anxiety, depression and burnout. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to balance. We'll use a whole self approach; addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate the different challenges they face and build coping skills to create more fulfilling and holistic life experiences. From my journey, I can personally attest to the power of support, in its many forms. This support goes beyond clients I service but also to their families and communities. I believe that mental wellness isn’t just individualistic; but includes the ecosystem surrounding the person. My praxis acknowledges and aims to support the village needed by all.  I’m also passionate about the transformative impact of safe and brave spaces for those who often experience exclusion. My career has afforded me opportunities to build trust with LGBTQ+, Black, Indigenous, Latina/o/x, and Refugee communities across the nation. It is a personal privilege to center wellness and holistic care for all as ‘self-care is a radical form of resistance.’ Whether you're dealing with overwhelm, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, trauma, PTSD, self-acceptance, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion, empathy and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hangups and habits holding you back. Let's work together!

My name is Bill Massey and I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in west central Georgia and east central Alabama. I graduated from the University of Georgia's MSW program in 1993 and became an LCSW in 1996. I have worked in home health and hospice for most of my career with a strong emphasis on geriatrics and dementia care. I have experience in inpatient psychiatric settings and residential services as well. I am looking to fill a niche that I have seen wanting attention for some time. For many years I have seen elders and their families in their homes but had to refer out any counseling other than crisis intervention to outpatient therapists. The problem is that I have been referring homebound people for outpatient therapy. This is not effective for many reasons. With the help of Grow Therapy, I intend to offer my services of counseling and case management to people in the comfort of their own homes. I will become a mobile mental health provider to serve a population that has gone largely underserved for all too long. My coverage area for in-home therapy will be Lee, Russell, and Chambers counties in Alabama as well as Muscogee, Chattahoochee, and Harris Counties in Georgia. I am opening up limited appointment times for virtual counseling as of mid May 2024.

Hi. I'm Marquita and I've been a social worker for 15 years and counting. I strive to help my clients navigate this challenging journey we know as life. Sometimes on this journey, we experience things such as anxiety, depression, life changes, set backs, and other bumps in the road, but what I've learned is that we can almost always navigate through or around them and keep on going. I use some conventional as well as unconventional techniques to work with my clients. I like to start where you are and not where I think you should be. We will use a mixture of cognitive behavioral, behavioral, mindfulness, and many other techniques to help us solve problems that we identify. I say "we", because we will do this together, but I allow you to drive. That just means I trust that you know yourself better than I do, but I will strive to help you find out just how strong you are and empower you to thrive in your life. We can do this together!
