There are literally hundreds of therapy approaches. And yet, effective treatment is like learning to ride a bicycle: No matter what kind it is, you have to experience it, not just talk about it. Shockingly, neuroscience tells us that we are unaware of 99.9% of what our brains take in from the world. No wonder good mental health is so often elusive. That's why I specialize in focused, experiential psychotherapy. That means together we pay more attention to your inner world than your outer one. Together, we name and track your genuine and palpable experience in session.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Before you solve any problem, you first need to articulate it clearly. Our first task will be to get a very clear, shared picture of the inner difficulties you are facing, and how they are currently impacting your quality of life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

In session, you will notice I am compassionate, direct, lively, intentional, challenging, and humorous (no, really). Please visit my website for a fuller picture of what it might be like to work with me in therapy/counseling.

My treatment methods

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)

AEDP and ISTDP are excellent dynamic roadmaps for significant positive change in briefer time frames.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

All parts of you are welcome; IFS puts the focus on your inner world instead of your outer one.

Mind-body approach

Effective treatment will always address mind and body in session as they are inextricably linked.
