As a black psychotherapist, I bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic process, understanding firsthand the nuances of BIPOC, cultural identity issues, and the importance of nurturing self-esteem. My approach blends CBT, Narrative, and Mindfulness to empower clients through grief, loneliness, and life's many transitions, nurturing a journey towards healing and self-discovery. Please note: If interested couples counseling, please schedule a consultation. I do not take insurance for couples counseling, I charge per minute.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and your therapeutic goals. We'll use motivational interviewing techniques that aligns with where you're at in your stage of change. During treatment, I'll use CBT and narrative therapy to help you learn how to challenge those thoughts to change your feelings for the better and be the author of your own narrative in life.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My goal is to facilitate a safe space where our clients can be heard. I am dedicated to fostering empowerment, resilience, laughter, and transformation through an authentic connection with each client.
