Hello Beautiful, Congratulations in taking this step in your therapeutic journey. My name is Tamitha and I am a Licensed Psychotherapist, Holistic Healer and the founder of Hello Beautiful Therapy. Do you feel pulled in a million and one different directions? Are you struggling to keep up with your relationships, work, or health? Is it hard to be kind to yourself? If you answered yes to any of the questions, I am excited to connect with you. I help women manage anxiety and avoid feeling defeated. I have a bachelor's degree in social work from Howard University; a master’s degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University; and a bachelor’s degree in Metaphysics from the University of Sedona. Having over 30 years of professional clinical experience and working with those managing conflict and trauma has equipped me to help you identify what is not working and get you to your state of balance. We will use a whole-person approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body, and spirit. I integrate talking, mindfulness and getting aligned to how your body feels to help you develop a stronger relationship with yourself. I love mixing body movement work and conversation to get to the root of your struggles. Whether you are dealing with feeling overwhelmed, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, I am here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary, but you are making the right choice and have taken the first step. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I will meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can face the challenges and habits that are holding you back. Let’s work together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will get to know one another to ensure I can meet your identified needs and you feel comfortable in taking your therapeutic journey with me. I do come prepared from reviewing your intake information and I like to hear directly from you during the session. My focus is Solution Focused, so I do frame my questions in our initial conversation on your strengths, what are your best hopes from therapy and what areas you have found success.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

It is my belief that we are all beautifully created and when we are unbalanced or not have a sense of peace; realignment can occur from a Holistic approach when we address our mind, body and spirit. My counseling style is pretty laid back. I have been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate, with a pretty good sense of humor. I like to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you to maximize them to overcome your obstacles. My niche is being of service to Women of Color and Women in the LGBTQ community as we navigate through this ....... "If I could take all my parts with me when I go somewhere, and not have to say to one of them, 'No you stay home tonight, you won't be welcome,'....... The day all of the different parts of me can come along, we would have what I would call a revolution." (Pat Parker)
