I have been practicing since 2014 and have worked in a variety of contexts within the scope of therapy- ranging from children, couple's work, adults, teenagers, and the aging population. I deliver an authentic approach to therapy that punctuates the importance of the relationship between client and therapist as the primary mechanism for change. I believe all clients deserve to be met with dignity and respect and try to convey that in sessions.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, we will explore your reasoning for wanting to start therapy of course. But we will also look at the various domains of your life (social, vocational, personal, etc.) and see how pieces fit together. I think of therapy like a spider web that starts in the middle and all interconnects outward to making the larger picture of your life and your needs.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I am honest and communicative above all else. I tend to speak from the heart and want to make each session a place where authentic communication flows. I want to make the therapy experience a place where you feel safe, heard, and validated. Don't get me wrong- I am not afraid to ask the hard questions- but above all else, being able to ask those tough questions in the safe space is part of my forte.
