Greetings, my name is Mark and I've been working with families and youth in the foster care system for over 15 years. Prior to that I was in the military working as a combat medic. My personality has always brought me into industries where I was able to help others, and that has become my passion. I hope to share joy and compassion for those that I work with, by using a person-centered approach as a basis for everything that I do.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session I will be conducting an "intake assessment" which will occupy most of the time that we have together. By completing the assessment, we will better define what brings you to therapy and what plan would work best for you and your individual needs.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I’ve spent several years working with clients that have been brought into custody by Child Protective Services. The youth and the families that I’ve worked with have been highly traumatized, and the cases can become very complex. But, I believe in hope, hard work and the sincere belief in unconditional positive regard for all those that I work with. I believe that every day is a new day and a new opportunity to improve our situations. I’ve seen families, youth, couples, and individuals from all types of backgrounds and experiences set a course to wellness and improve their life. I work with the Military Community, Law Enforcment, First Responders, CEO's, the LGBTQ community as well as other Clinicians seeking therapy.
