Hello! Do you have a lot on your mind but find it difficult to open up to people? Or, when you do share what you're going through, do you feel like the person you are talking to isn't really listening, doesn't care, turns everything you say into something about them, or worse, has a strong opinion on what you "should" do to make things better? What if you had a person in your life who, when you share your worries and dreams is able to really tune into you. When you talk to them, you feel like they understand you on a deep level; you feel like they see you in all your dimensions and accept you without judgement or criticism. They take you seriously and genuinely want to help you create a life that feels right for you. They have ideas on how you can set boundaries and communicate with people about who you are and what you want. They have suggestions on how to speak to others with confidence and grace so that the people in your life understand you on a deeper level and they have ideas on how you can start taking steps to get to a happier life filled with vibrant and healthy relationships. When I meet with clients, I do all I can to offer them this type of personalized attunement. I strive to be fully present in our sessions and to find ways to help my clients make the changes that brought them to seek a therapist. If this sounds like the kind of therapy that could help you find the life you are seeking, I hope you will get in touch as I would really like to help you get there.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our sessions, we will talk about the things that brought you into therapy. I will start right where you are and with what is most on your mind. We will also look at the various relationships and life events you have experienced. We will talk about both things you like about yourself and your life as well as those you would like to change or even eliminate. I will check in with you frequently to see how you think things are going in our sessions and how we can "tweak" things to make our work even more meaningful.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I am trained to look at how our relationships and systems, whether these are family, work or community, affect our lives. I use simple methods and tools from ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy). I have an integrated approach but the most important tool in my toolbox is the ability to form strong, personal and meaningful bonds with the clients with whom I work.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I work with both individual clients, couples and families. I am able to form strong, trusting bonds relatively quickly. I do not judge my clients because I understand them on a very personal and compassionate level. Even though I am confident in my ability to connect with clients, I am also able to challenge them to go beyond their established beliefs and ways of living. This validating yet caring type of therapy helps clients to understand themselves and others on a deeper, more intimate and compassionate level.
