Sometimes it is not easy to ask for help, whether dealing with small issues that life presents or with more complicated situations that can arise. Through identifying your natural strengths and emphasizing a solution-based approach, my primary goal as your therapist is to guide you towards finding your own truth and meaning, as well as meeting you where you are at through the process of self-discovery. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and a National Certified Counselor. My background consists of over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, parents and guardians, families, and adults in the mental health system from varying backgrounds. My experience includes, but is not limited to, treating the following: • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder • Panic Disorder, Panic Attacks, and Hoarding • Anxiety and Anxiety-Related Disorders, such as Social Anxiety and Phobia • Trauma • ADHD, Anger, Stress Management, and Skill Building • Family and Relationship issues • Child and School related issues • Occupational and Life transitioning • Spirituality and Life Purpose
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session together, we'll collaboratively discuss what you'd like your time in therapy to look like, whether that's having a place to speaking openly and process topics, or to learn and practice new skills to help with strong feelings. I like to get to know you by learning about your background, and looking for patterns that may be present in your life. My goal is to help you understand these patterns better and to create a plan for how to handle the situations arising in your life.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
From previous encounters with the clients that I serve, I would be described as dependable, understanding, professional, accountable, compassionate, and collaborative. One of the greatest strengths that I value when serving others is developing a working relationship and alliance; together, we can accomplish the goals that we set together during session.
