What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Transformational emotional healing is my focus. Creating lasting change in your life by getting to the core of the emotional struggle. I will help you develop a happier and healthier way of living with therapeutic tools to improve emotional regulation and coping skills.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Together we can break down specific challenges, thoughts, emotions and actions to develop treatment goals to work towards obtaining a healthy outcome and lifestyle. Using this approach can help support understanding, addressing and changing negative thought patterns, and implementing positive behavioral changes. CBT is a goal oriented approach to improve overall well-being.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Using DBT will allow us to work together focusing on building a tool kit to achieve your treatment goals. DBT encompasses mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered approach values transparency, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. I believe in making all clients feel welcome, accepted, heard, valued, and important in the therapeutic process.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness therapy is a type of therapy that focuses on teaching present moment awareness, reduction of negative/automatic responses, acceptance and non-judgement. Utilizing breathing exercises, guided meditations, mindfulness and discussion I will assist you in moving away from past and future focused thinking into present moment awareness and acceptance of your self and others.

Trauma Informed Care

I am certified in trauma, and have worked with emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. Trauma impacts every part of our being, emotionally and physically. Trauma-informed care in therapy means being aware of and sensitive to the impact of past traumatic experiences. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and healing environment. I work to help you recognize the role trauma has played in your life, develop new coping skills, change unhealthy beliefs, help you learn ways to express your emotions, develop skills to tolerate the distress of trauma, and teach strategies to reduce depression, anxiety, and hyperarousal. Trauma-Informed Mindfulness-Based Therapy involves cultivating a heightened awareness of the present moment without judgment. Through practices like meditation and focused breathing, it helps you observe your thoughts and feelings with acceptance. This approach encourages a non-reactive mindset, fostering emotional regulation and a deeper understanding of your mental processes. By integrating mindfulness into therapy, we work towards enhancing self-awareness and developing healthier responses to life's challenges.
