Greetings, I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Texas. I received my Masters from the University of North Texas and have been practicing for 19 years. Transitioning through life changes can be challenging, and having a therapist assist you through these transitions can be incredibly beneficial. Therapists can provide support, guidance, and tools to help navigate changes in relationships, careers, health, or any other aspect of life. They can help you explore your feelings, identify patterns or obstacles, and develop coping strategies to manage stress and uncertainty. Additionally, therapists can offer a safe and non-judgmental space for you to express yourself and work through any concerns or fears you may have about the transition process.

I've wanted to be a therapist since I was 9 years old. It's been a lifelong dream that I was able to achieve. My first experience with mental health is in a community mental health facility. I learned lots about major mental illness and skills training. I believe this time developed me into a therapist that "teaches" my client how to help themselves and how to relate to people on a personal level. My passions outside of work are DIY projects in my new home, crocheting, camping and my pug. I am also a wife, mother and grandmother. I am a stepmother, bio-mother, mother of twins, mother of boys, mother of girls and have a variety of ages.

Hello, My name is Michael Berler, Ph.D., I'm a psychologist from San Antonio. I have a background in private practice and leadership roles at teaching hospitals in Houston and San Antonio. I define the process of therapy as a temporary, guided journey of healthy changes, in a judgement free zone. The other main element that specifically differentiates the process therapy is confidentiality. Confidentiality can be thought of as a "vault" containing anything and everything you tell me in our sessions. It remains locked in your vault; and only you have the combination to your vault. There are exceptions to confidentiality that we'll discuss during out first session. I combine the two most effective treatment models that have been proven empirically. Meaning these models of therapy have been studied or researched; and their effectiveness data, have been submitted and published in the professional literature over many decades. The first model that's referred to as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) examines the powerful domino effect between our thoughts, feelings and behavior choice patterns of the individual seeking therapy. The other model I practice examines the domains of the biological origins of feelings and behaviors, and how this domain interacts with the internal way we think of ourselves, that impacts the important relationships in our lives, both inside and outside of our family's. I look forward to and appreciate those who ask me to join them, as a temporary guide, on their therapeutic journey. As I remain a neutral consultant regarding their efforts to become the best possible version of their internal sense of self. Remember that the process of therapy is more like a marathon versus a sprint. Although, also remember, that of both these metaphotrical examples have their own time intervals as well.

Hello and thank you for taking a chance on therapy, reaching out is one of the hardest parts and you are taking the first step. Finding a fitting therapist is a big part of your success in therapy, so if it does not initially work out, remember you can find a suitable option. Our initial meeting will be a 15-minute consultation to ensure we are compatible for each other to maximize your therapeutic experience. I am a Texas State University graduate. I have experience in multiple settings including schools, hospitals, inpatient treatment facilities, and group practices. This has allowed me to work with diverse humans and engage many different therapeutic styles. I have a passion for creating space for my community of color, ADHD, parents, and LGBTQIA. I support adolescents, adults, and parent clients. Outside of the office, I spend a lot of time in nature as this is a healing place for me that I like to encourage others to consider as a therapeutic tool. My immediate family consists of my wife, 2 kiddos, and lots of pets. We spend time together hiking/exploring nature, joining city-wide events, finding new parks to play and walk the dogs, and cooking new recipes. Reach out if you find yourself aligning with my style, I look forward to supporting and growing with you!

Hi, I'm Michele Purvin. Life can be tough and unfair sometimes. Especially, if you are just starting out and you feel like you have no clue how to handle some of the life's complex challenges thrown at you. Or sometimes the pain of life is just too great, too overwhelming, and you feel completely alone and stuck with a problem. Or maybe you just need someone to listen to you and give you a different perspective. This is where I can help you. I will treat you with respect and compassion and listen carefully with empathy to your problems. I will hold a safe and confidential space for you to share your thoughts and feelings. We will work together to help you become aware of your thoughts and feelings about a problem, and how to look at those problems in different, more manageable ways. Rather than adopting only one methodology for all individuals and issues, I draw from a variety of methods that are most effective for each individual and situation. I take a strength perspective by focusing on what your strengths are and how we can build on those strengths to reach your potential. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) providing therapy services in Texas and Utah. I have been in private practice for over 10 years. As a Texas native, I grew up in a bi-cultural, tri-lingual Swiss German American household in the United States and Switzerland. I learned at an early age to transcend the boundaries in a rapidly changing world. I look forward to meeting with you, and discussing how I can best help you reach your goals to live your best life.

Hi! I am a person-centered clinician who shows up in the therapy room as my genuine self. I create a non-judgmental and empathetic space where clients are free to show up authentically as themselves. I don't have all the answers (I'm trying to figure out life, too.) It is an honor to be alongside people while they figure out their own journey through life's ups and downs. I also utilize art, music, and drama in session. I enjoy using humor as a therapeutic tool with my clients.
