Hi, I'm Shelley! Do you feel like you are stuck in a cycle and can't get out? Do you feel unseen and unwanted? Are you struggling with showing yourself grace and mercy? I help people who are struggling with life issues develop better skills to cope with and redirect their lives in the way that makes them more genuine with themselves and others. Together, we explore how you view the world and if your view or thinking patterns can be adjusted to help you grow. I specialize in helping teens and adults work on symptoms of depression, anxiety, self-harming behaviors, life stressors, and life transitions. My goal as a therapist is to be open, honest, genuine. I will provide unconditional positive regard. I love mixing talk therapy with things you can use daily to improve your view of yourself and your life. Therapy can be scary, being open to someone you don't know is risky. I want to provide a safe space for you to be yourself. I look forward to meeting you! Shelley

Hi. I am a LPC in Georgia and a LCMHC in North Carolina. Additionally, I am a Nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. I received my master's degree from VCU in 2015, became licensed in 2020, and have been practicing on my own ever since. I live by two mottos "It takes a village" and "take time for you". It is important to “take time for yourself,” because we need time to recharge, so that we can continue to persevere. However, there comes a time in everyone’s life where the support of the village is needed. That’s why I believe “it takes a village” and working together as a team is important. Whether it is a clinician and client duo, or a team of medical professionals, we can achieve reasonable and practical goals.

I am retired Army officer and a licensed and board certified clinical social worker. I am considered a subject matter expert in a few areas, primarily cognitive behavior therapy. I chose to be a cognitive therapist because it resonates with me and because it works. Traditional talk therapy can be cathartic and have a relaxing effect, but you could do that with a friend at no cost. I value your time and money by utilizing evidence-based psychotherapy techniques to help you get better faster and learn the skills to help keep you out of a therapists office in the future.

I have a Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric Rehabilitation. As a result of traumatic experiences and other factors from my childhood, I battled with addiction and my own mental health issues (anxiety and depression) for many years. I have been abstinent from all drugs and alcohol since 2010 and have been able to reduce my anxiety and depression to low level where I am able to function and live a rather content lifestyle. I would like the opportunity to use my own personal experiences combined with my educational learning to help you achieve the same or better mental well being than I have achieved.

You DESERVE to Re-SET, To Re-FUEL, To Re-CHARGE. And then TAKE FLIGHT! Since entering the field of therapy I have learned to ascribe to the adage “all behavior has meaning.” Yes, ALL behavior. A deep curiosity for why we all act and think the way we do coupled with my own life’s challenges and experiences has led me to a place of compassion for not only my own life choices but compassion for others. Our thoughts lead to feelings, which leads to action. We are not always proud of our actions. As a woman, mother, wife, and veteran I know all too well the shame that comes with our personal choices and behaviors. I also know there is also a fear of JUDGEMENT when it comes to considering therapy. This is a no-judgement zone and if you are seeking a different feeling and action in your life then you have landed at the right place!

Hi, I'm Becca. I enjoy working with the adult population especially those going through any type of transition in life which can cause stress. My expertise is in helping people reduce overall symptoms of traumatic stress (PTSD), anxiety, including obsessive-compulsive disorder and social anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, grief and loss and relationship issues. I also have a lot of experience working with the LGBTQ+ population, especially those who experience sexual and gender identity issues. Are you having intrusive thoughts or emotions that are hard to stop or distract from? Are you prone to pleasing others and feel the stress of caretaking? We can work together to help you better understand how the mind and body impact your behavior and get you back to feeling more in control. I use both talk therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help process your concerns to reduce overall distress and improve emotional regulation. It can be very intimidating to start counseling. My goal is to provide a safe and open space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and impulses for you to heal and move forward. I look forward to working with you!

Welcome, I am Feven! Do you feel pulled in a million directions, unable to fit it all in? Are you struggling to keep up with your relationships, work and health? Is it hard to be kind to yourself? I help individuals manage anxiety, depression and burnout. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to balance. We'll use a whole self approach; addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate the different challenges they face and build coping skills to create more fulfilling and holistic life experiences. From my journey, I can personally attest to the power of support, in its many forms. This support goes beyond clients I service but also to their families and communities. I believe that mental wellness isn’t just individualistic; but includes the ecosystem surrounding the person. My praxis acknowledges and aims to support the village needed by all.  I’m also passionate about the transformative impact of safe and brave spaces for those who often experience exclusion. My career has afforded me opportunities to build trust with LGBTQ+, Black, Indigenous, Latina/o/x, and Refugee communities across the nation. It is a personal privilege to center wellness and holistic care for all as ‘self-care is a radical form of resistance.’ Whether you're dealing with overwhelm, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, trauma, PTSD, self-acceptance, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion, empathy and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hangups and habits holding you back. Let's work together!

Unresolved emotional pain is one of the leading causes of life dissatisfaction and can cause impaired judgement, health issues, dysfunctional relationships, health problems, and career stagnation. The purpose of my practice is to help my clients take the first step to healing emotional pain, by learning how to offer grace to themself and to others. During our time in therapy, we will develop a healing plan to transform your breakdown into a breakthrough.

I am Jennie Gray Mulligan, a North Carolina native and transplant to Atlanta 8 years ago. I practice psychotherapy as a licensed clinical social worker and enjoy integrating the knowledge learned through a 200 hour yoga teacher training into the work that I do with clients. Meditation and yoga are great supports for therapy work or as a stand alone to increase our capacity to tolerate difficulties, learn the ways our mind can create problems for us and improve our ability to focus our attention. I completed my Master’s in Social Work through the University of North Carolina and clinical training and direct supervision for 6 years through Emory's Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. My work with individuals and families takes a holistic understanding of the ways our brain, body/mind, emotions, and relationships affect our overall wellbeing.  I offer different modalities as a way to work with our whole being to improve overall wellness; including Trauma Focused CBT, Mindfulness Based practices including Guided Breathwork and am furthering my education in Imago Couples Counseling and EMDR. I always will meet the person where they are and explore what works for them. Cultural sensitivity is a hallmark of my practice and I vow to and provide a welcoming space for all humans regardless of race, religion, gender and sexual preferences/orientation. Clients with some(not limited to these) of the following issues may benefit from working with me: anxiety, life transitions, coping with new diagnosis and long term illness, depression, grief and loss, learning differences, ADHD, and childhood trauma. I believe that with adequate therapeutic supports, in the community and at home, that most all individuals have the capacity to live their fullest lives and be the best version of themselves.   I am married to my longterm partner Josh and we reside in Atlanta with our young son and two precious felines. In my spare time you may find me exploring the outdoors, traveling to a new city or teaching yoga to inmates in the county jail.
