There is always room for growth no matter what age or where you are in life. It is my mission to help people in their personal growth and reach their full potential. I genuinely care for others and provide a safe and non-judgmental space for healing. Life can get overwhelming, but you don’t have to go through it alone. Through the Rogerian approach, I meet people where they’re at, being compassionate and warm, yet honest and straightforward. As a therapist I love utilizing a combination of therapeutic techniques from person-centered, CBT, TF-CBT, mindfulness, REBT, solution focused, psycho-dynamic, Gestalt and other modalities that have research proven results. Whatever you’re going through, I am here to support your journey. I am experienced and qualified to provide psychotherapy to individuals for issues varying from: depression, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma, low self-esteem, suicide ideation, to life stressors and more. You deserve to heal, grow, and live you want to live.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions to therapy, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing and complete an initial assessment. This will help to create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up therapy sessions

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Some of my strengths as a therapist are being genuine, collaborative, non-judgmental, present, compassionate, honest, and empathetic.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Using the Rogerian approach has always came natural and intuitive to me. Making a strong authentic connection between therapist and client is essential to treatment and it helps clients make progress and heal. In therapy, change occurs by creating conditions for the you to grow through the therapeutic relationship. Aligned with the Rogerian approach, I am authentic, non-judgmental, and empathetic, as I provide genuine unconditional positive regard. Using this person-centered approach, means I am completely present with the you and what you want to talk about; I am empathetic while still authentic and direct. While using this approach I may also implement other approaches as they arise naturally in session, such as the one's listed below.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Using CBT in my practice for the past 6 years, has helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their depression and anxiety. We can use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

The mindfulness based approach has helped my client to relax, decrease stress and improve their overall mood and mental health. In using the mindfulness approach, we will work on acceptance and being in the present moment. As you learn to use mindfulness and enjoy the present moment, you can better enjoy your life in the here and now, and let go of excessive anxiety, depression. and trauma.

Psychodynamic

Psycho-dynamic therapy has always been one of my favorite approaches to use with clients since grad-school. With this approach, change and healing occurs through insight and understanding of early, unresolved issues. The therapeutic relationship is also a key healing tool. We explore your past relationships and experiences from early childhood to present, and how it effect you now; the past influences the present. Here I am non-directive with session, as I actively listen to you as we explore your experiences. I am genuinely sensitive to your feelings, while being direct and honest, to promote your insight, growth, and healing.
