Hello! I'm Christina, a compassionate and experienced therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges. With a warm and non-judgmental approach, I strive to create a safe space for you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and concerns. As a firm believer in the power of human connection, I am committed to building a trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients. I have worked with adults, children/teenagers, and couples, addressing various issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I work with clients with anxiety/depression or trauma related to their relationships or family. During our initial sessions, we will explore the history of symptoms as well as their origins, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first few sessions and sustained improvement thereafter.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a firm believer in a 'client-centered approach'; you are the expert on your life, I am simply here to help you navigate it. I strive to create a safe space for you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and concerns through providing a supportive and non-judgmental environment for my clients to freely speak about their life experiences.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have run groups utilizing DBT curriculum for many years; these groups include children in school settings, teens in an IOP setting, adults in outpatient services, as well as within the SMART Recovery program. I integrate DBT skills and concepts into individual sessions as well to increase client's ability to manage a variety of life stressors and interpersonal dynamics.

Couples Counseling

I am heavily trained in couple's counseling and have been working with couples for the last 4 years. In working with couples, it is important for me to assess where the areas of growth are and the need each individual is presenting with. I tend to pull treatment methods from several couple's based modalities; including Gottman, attachment based theories, and emotionally focused models.
