I'm a therapist who uses an eclectic approach to help clients increase their satisfaction with their personal lives, jobs, and relationships. Using a person-centered approach, the client and therapist will work together to better understand and solve the client's problems. I work with the client to obtain positive change in their life. I use many different treatment approaches to help the client reach their goals.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
After a brief introduction, the client and I will begin to discuss the client's concerns and how a therapist might help. I will ask the client to describe the positive aspects of themselves and their lives. I will ask them to describe their major strengths so we can understand what to build on. What is it that brought the client into therapy? What is it that they want to change about their life?
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I am an accepting, caring person. I don't want to provide answers to a client - I want them to find the answers themselves. My job is to provide a different perspective on their problems and increase the client's awareness of how their thoughts affect how they feel. I view my role is as a guide on a journey to self-knowledge.
