I am an LPC and seeing clients in Colorado and New Jersey. I have been in the mental health field for 5 years and have experience working with many populations and have worked in a variety of settings to include drug & alcohol detox, substance abuse/mental health partial hospitalization & intensive outpatient and transitioned into private practice just over 2 years ago. I enjoy working with young adults & adults who are looking to gain a better understanding of themselves & build their most balanced life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I want my clients to leave sessions with me with new insights or patterns of thinking. I have a warm, but direct approach and believe strongly in the client and therapist relationship and building a foundation of trust. Our first session will be spent gaining information important to your development, past relationships and past and current life circumstances. Together we will discuss the areas in which you are struggling and will come up with goals for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Therapy is not a "one size fits all" experience. I believe on building a strong therapeutic connection to ensure each client feels comfortable going into each session. I strongly admire the vulnerability that it takes to open up to someone new and I believe in meeting each client where they are at in their journey of growth. My goal is to make each client feel as comfortable as possible while introducing them to my approach of therapy and believe that mutual trust and understanding is the foundation of successful therapy. I am here to be a support in which ever way that means to each individual. We can have individual, family or sessions with your partner as needed.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our first session will be spent reviewing past life experiences, important relationships, values, and if you have had previous treatment experience. Together, we will identify and discuss your thought patterns and areas of self talk and how these are impacting you today.

Motivational Interviewing

I use this collaborative and direct approach in conversations within the therapeutic process to focus on the client specifically to help explore and change negative thoughts.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Using this method, we will work on identifying goals for yourself during the therapy process and work on different approaches to reach those specific goals.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I will provide psycho-education mindfulness skills to help in moments of distress for you to implement to bring you back to center.
