I completed the Master's in Social Work program with a minor in Alcohol and Other Drugs. I am clinically licensed in New Mexico, Texas, Virginia, and Maryland. I have over 15 years of experience in individual, marital, family, and group therapy. Much of my work has been with military personnel and their families. This clinical experience exposed me to working with many people from all over the world and with a variety of cultural backgrounds.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Washington, DC but I am also licensed in Maryland and Virginia. I received my Masters of Social Work from North Carolina State University in North Carolina. I have worked in mental health and substance abuse field since 2005. I enjoy working with young adults and up. My clinical focus is centered around those that have concerns with anxiety, depression, sexual aggression and substance use. My therapeutic orientation is psychodynamic which includes aspects of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I tailor to the needs of each individual client.

I am a Marine Corps Veteran, Army wife, a mother, and a former educator. I want to make it clear that I may not be the right therapist for everyone, and neither do I strive to be. I focus on finding solutions that work for you. I am not a "how do you feel about that" therapist. I am a reality therapist who can provide long-term help for various mental health issues. I am a faith-based therapist who believes in God, but ultimately, my passion lies in helping people, regardless of their beliefs. I am dedicated to helping others reach their full potential, regardless of their beliefs. I am a former school therapist, and for the last 6 years, I've been working with adults (basically, after my cohort of students graduated, about 60% wanted to keep me as a therapist, and I started working with both teens and adults). I am the therapist who will be invested in your change; I will not always agree with you, I will challenge you, I will always be honest with you, and I will always have your best interest at heart.
