As a licensed professional counselor with over a decade of experience, my work revolves around helping individuals overcome addiction, emotional challenges, and mental health disorders. I employ evidence-based interventions and a holistic approach to provide clients with coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and a supportive environment. My focus includes anger management, helping clients understand triggers, challenge negative self-talk, and develop emotional regulation skills. Additionally, I work with individuals with mental health disorders, creating a safe space for healing and using evidence-based treatments. Beyond individual therapy, I actively engage in community outreach programs to raise awareness about mental health and addiction. My aim is to provide compassionate care and a healing space for individuals seeking support.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
We will get to know your struggles and expectations of therapy. We will begin to understand where we can start. This is also your time to ask any questions. There is no wrong way for you to begin. At the onset of our therapeutic journey together, it is crucial for us to establish a strong foundation built on mutual understanding and shared expectations. The initial sessions will be dedicated to getting to know you, your struggles, and your hopes for therapy. This is a collaborative process where we will work together to gain insights into your unique situation and identify areas where we can begin to make progress. During this phase, I will ask open-ended questions to encourage you to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It is important for you to feel comfortable and safe in our sessions, so please know that there is no right or wrong way to begin. Your honesty and openness will be essential in helping me understand your perspective and develop a treatment plan that is tailored specifically to your needs. As we explore your struggles, we will work together to identify patterns and underlying causes. This process of self-discovery can be challenging, but it is also an opportunity for growth and transformation. By gaining a deeper understanding of yourself, you can begin to develop coping mechanisms and strategies for overcoming the obstacles in your life. In addition to discussing your struggles, we will also spend time talking about your expectations of therapy. It is important for us to be on the same page about what you hope to achieve in our work together. This will help us set realistic goals and measure our progress along the way.
