What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then discuss the specific challenges or presenting issues you're facing. This information will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I provide a non-judgmental environment that will allow clients to feel safe sharing their present life challenges as well as success. I collaborate with clients to identify their strengths and to identify their strengths to make changes and be successful.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT as a strategy to assist clients with cognitive restructuring to change negative thoughts into more positive and realistic ones, or behavioral activation to help them engage in activities that improve their mood and increase their sense of well-being.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

(1) I have used DBT, for encouraging clients to be aware of their present thoughts and experiences, focusing on the present moment to reduce feelings of stress and anxiety. Mindfulness exercises utilized in DBT include breathing exercises, guided imagery, and meditation. (2) Emotion regulation: DBT helps individuals learn how to manage their emotions more effectively. Therapists teach clients different coping techniques to help them deal with overwhelming feelings and learn how to express them in a healthy way. (3) Interpersonal communication: DBT helps clients improve their communication skills to develop healthy relationships. This type of therapy provides tools for improving boundary-setting skills, assertiveness, empathy, and active listening.

Christian Counseling

Christian counseling is a form of therapeutic intervention that involves using Christian beliefs, values, and principles as a foundation for the counseling process. In Christian counseling, the therapist sees the individual as a whole person, addressing their emotional, psychological, spiritual, and physical needs. The intention of Christian counseling is to help individuals overcome life challenges, achieve personal growth, and deepen their relationship with God. Christian/Faith Base Counseling - typically drawn from the Bible and its teachings, applying them to the individual's specific situation. Through prayer, Bible study, and discussions, Christian counselors help individuals address issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, relationship problems, and other problems that impair their mental health and spiritual development.
