I am originally from Northern Virginia but have lived in the Tidewater area for 25 years. I completed my undergraduate degree at Old Dominion University with a BS in Psychology. I attended University of Southern California for a master’s degree in Social Work. I am dually licensed as a Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor. I have approximately twenty years of social work experience in various avenues. I specialize in trauma, crisis management, domestic violence, anxiety, depression and substance abuse. I know there is not one approach for everyone, so I will work with my patients to find a treatment modality that they are comfortable with. I fully believe that everyone can achieve the quality of life that they desire; it is my desire and passion to help them achieve that.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
We will get to know each other and I will conduct an initial assessment. Following that, we will identify both short and long-term goals and the actions we will take to ensure you can achieve them.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I am able to connect with individuals and built a trusting relationship. I will listen to your needs without judgement and will always be respectful of your individual heal thing process. I know that you must trust your therapist in order to have difficult conversations. I believe it is my calling to help you reach your goals.
