Hi I am Lorna, It seems that in today's world there's no time to stop and catch a breath. Time passes us by even when we struggle to remain focused and on tasks. I am here to be your ally in learning effective tools to organize your life your way. It is time to stop dreaming of what could be and how you would like your life to go and take the initiative towards the change that will bring you happiness. Whether it is situations outside of your control that are dragging your mood and energy or whether is a situation with a significant other or a loved one that is making you struggle. I am here to help you stop existing and start living the life you are willing to work towards.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

A first session is about connection and building some trust. It’s the identification of a problem and together identifying steps towards short and long term goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am genuinely interested in listening to others and their identification of areas of struggle as this guides their journey through growth and change. There's no judgment here and what you say will not affect the way I provide unconditional positive regard through our time together. I love working with populations suffering from anxiety and depression as the change is very evident and rewarding to see when the goals are achieved. The area of grief is a strength of mine as I assist the client in navigating the feelings that are impacting stability and reaching a level of peace and acceptance.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I see people respond positively to engaging in how to start focus on how we perceive thing and how our thoughts influence behavior which results in change when addressing thought processes first.
