Hi! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Indiana. I received my Masters from Indiana University - Purdue University and have been practicing for 4 years. I have a passion in assisting teens and young adults, as well as adults through difficult times in their lives as well as working through self-harming behaviors to build on more positive coping skills. I also assist individuals in addressing and working through trauma, depression, and anxiety.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Rapport, to me, is everything. Therapy is like any relationship you build, there has to be a level of trust so that you feel comfortable talking with me. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I can build rapport quickly with clients and build off a person-centered belief. I feel that, at times, people just don't feel heard, especially teens and young adults, when it comes to family and friends. I feel that I am able to not only listen, but hear what is being said and can assist people in finding ways to explore avenues that they can take to communicate with others more affectively.
