When the burdens of our circumstances, relationships, or daily lives, in general, begin to weigh on our shoulders, finding help in a safe, therapeutic, non-judgmental space can begin to ease our heavy loads. My name is Caitlin Pierce, and I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist with 14+ years in the field. I have spent the bulk of my career working with families and individuals in both office and in-home settings. I have a history of training and practice in trauma-focused counseling, relationships (family, marriage, parenting), stress/anxiety management, and I also am a certified personal trainer and nutrition specialist. With this specialization, I can support wellness and health-related concerns such as self-esteem, body image, and making lifestyle changes like stress-reduction or shifting priorities. My favorite part of being a counselor is watching the people I work with begin to see a new "story" emerge or a shift in thinking around their presented problems. I like to help clients unlock the parts of their minds that remain stuck in a particular way of thinking or feeling that keeps them from feeling their best. I believe that all of us are capable of change, whether we're 18 or 85, and with healthy support and guidance, there is hope to feel better. I aim to bring my clients a conversational, personal, and humanistic counseling style. I look forward to working together!

In today's world, mental health support is needed more than ever. Mental health IS health. It's time to end the stigma and realize it's okay to not be okay. Finding a therapist can be a daunting process but congratulations on taking the first step! As a therapist, I aim to foster an environment that is warm, collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental. I'm a licensed independent clinical social worker in Massachusetts and earned my Masters in Social Work degree from Boston College. I also have a Bachelor's degree in history. I view the counseling process as an alliance between client and therapist and consider the clients experts of their lives. Within the structure of the therapeutic relationship, clients can access their inner strengths and promote change. I use a combination of modalities that include but are not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. My theoretical approach is based on the belief that clients are in charge of their counseling experience. They will learn the bounds of aspects of their life that they can control and what they cannot. Clients will understand that the therapeutic relationship is a partnership in which they will be expected to put in the effort for homework, be accountable, and present within the counseling alliance. Please note: I am only licensed in Massachusetts, and working towards being licensed in Maine and New Hampshire. Therefore, I can only see clients in Massachusetts. If you are on college break in another state, or on vacation in another state or country, I can see you once you return to the state. There are other clinicians who are licensed in more than one state that may be more suitable if you are someone who travels outside of the state often.

Hello there! One of the most important steps a person can take… and, perhaps one of the most difficult, is reaching out for assistance during difficult times in life. I'm so happy you have taken that step. My name is Amanda Janulis, and I've been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2001. Whether you're navigating one of life's transitions, struggling with anxiety or depression, grappling with why you feel 'stuck' or unfulfilled, or facing the challenges of relationships with family, friends, or a partner, I'm here to listen and support with an open heart and mind. We'll work together to reveal the path to a life that feels truly meaningful to you. Over the years, I have worked with children and families in crisis, sexual assault and incest survivors, the geriatric population, and adults with severe and persistent mentaI illness. In recent years, I have chosen to work with adults who are seeking support in coping with anxiety, depression, challenging life transitions, and those seeking a deeper understanding of themselves. Naturally I'm a little biased here, but I believe we all benefit from engaging in self-exploration as we navigate this one wonderful, yet complicated thing we call life. So, regardless of whether you are a long time therapy-goer or this is your first time venturing into a therapeutic space, I will meet you where you are. You set the pace.

I have worked with individuals with a broad range of goals, interests, and challenges, including athletes, LGBTQ individuals, adults experiencing chronic medical issues, adults in need of career counseling, adults with intellectual disabilities, and mostly, regular people experiencing everyday challenges in life that we all face, sometimes seeming to overwhelm, intimidate and distress us even on our better days. My goal with treatment is to clarify, assist, and support. The best outcome for me is that you, my client, feel capable of using some of the tools and strategies that we talk about to better navigate your daily life.

Helping adolescents cope since 1999. As a school counselor for more than twenty years in and around the greater Boston area, I have come to appreciate today's complex social-emotional needs of teens, and emerging young adults. I have supported the mental health of hundreds if not thousands of youth over the years through approachable solution-focused counseling sessions. My process is casual, relatable, yet goal-oriented in order to connect with today's youth and coach them through the challenges they face. In addition to my private practice, I currently serve as the Mental Health Coordinator for a public school district, a substance use diversion instructor, a Middle School School Adjustment Counselor, and the co-founder of a College Success Summer Program. In my personal life, I enjoy obsessing over sneakers I am not cool enough to wear, watching my sons play soccer, fishing, sailing my renovated sailboat around the Upper Mystic, and enjoying the Boston Celtics recent winning of banner number eighteen.

I am an LICSW and I work with adults who are seeking an improved quality of life. I am judgment free and very open-minded, and I believe strongly in human capacity for change. My main goal is your progress, and I may challenge you a bit along the way but I will always treat you with warmth and compassion and I will always be honest and transparent with you. My approach is geared toward an individual's personal motivation, whether they are beginning to contemplate change, they are open to learning new coping strategies, or they are ready to understand and shift patterns of behavior that are no longer serving them in a positive way. We will work together to explore what approach(es) are effective for you and your personality. I try to use humor at times to bring some levity to the process of uncovering feelings and self discovery in a way that feels comfortable and approachable to you.

If things feel too difficult to change and you need guidance, support, direction, and empathic listening you might be a great candidate for individual therapy from me. What separates me from other clinicians is my versatility. Throughout my career, I have worked at every level of care and every population. From individual therapy/group therapy to intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs to being the clinical director at a locked psychiatric hospital, I have seen pretty much everything.
